Time: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Mens & ladies)
Unless advised by Tournament Control
Cancellations will be announced one half hour before start time. 2.
Entry Fee: $ 30.00
per boat. (SUNDAY
WILL BE BLOW DAYS) 3.
All entries at least 1/2 hour before tournament.
Phone entries accepted. 4.
D.N.R. Rules 9 rod maximum limit.
3 rods per eligible entrant, maximum of 9
rods. No culling will be allowed. 4a
Ladies tournament: In
the spirit of making this more fun. .if you have at least one lady on
board for the tournament, you may fish NINE rods per D.N.R. rules
providing you have enough licenses on board to do so.
You may only catch & weigh-in
D.N.R. limit for each lady aboard during the tournament. You must stop
fishing and proceed to the weigh-in once the D.N.R. limit is attained.
(example 1 lady 5 fish, 2 ladies 10 fish) 5.
Ladies must do all rod work during the ladies tournament.
The captain or mate may only set lines and net fish! 6.
At least one paid up M.S.S.F.A. Chapter member must be aboard,
except May 10th, June 21, Aug. 2, & Dec.
6, which is open to the public. 7.
You may leave the pier head at 6:00 a.m.
Any boat in the tournament observed fishing by a committee member
before 7:00 A.M. WILL
be disqualified. (Lines in
water.) 8.
Fish counts will be at 8:30/10:00/11:30; no penalties issued for
failure to answer. 9.
All fish counts and tournament control will operate on channel #78.
PLEASE CALL IN. 10.
Weigh-in is at the River Bend Boat Club You must be
in the weigh-in line 1 1/2 hour after fishing period ends.
IF NOT IN WEIGH-IN LINE, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. 11.
Five prize categories entered:
Steelhead, Brown, Lake Trout, Salmon & total weight. 12.
Scoring: Prizes for
1st & 2nd places in each category will be determined by weight only;
total is determined by 10 points per fish plus a point a pound to
the nearest hundreds (15 fish limit-total catch) 12a
Catch Five - 3 Man DNR limit per boat, weigh-in 5 fish only.
(Total Weight) 13.
Prize monies split: 65%
for 1st & 35% for 2nd in each category, 2 fish in each category must
be weighted for 1 St. & 2 nd place prize money. Entrants are
allowed only 1 entry per category. Any ties for places, Moines will
be split. Except weigh-two tournament pays 10 places. 14.
Entry forms, contact tournament committee at River Bend Boat Club
at 6:00 A.M. 15.
In the Merle Morris Tournament it will be required that you
leave from
the South Haven Pier
on the day of the Tournament and return to that same Port.
